🚢 USD 42.8 BILLION AFTER 7 MONTHS: A HUGE OPPORTUNITY FOR VIETNAMESE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS 👇

📈 In the first 7 months of 2026, Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fishery exports continued their positive growth momentum, reaching nearly USD 42.8 billion, up 7.5% compared with the same period in 2025.
Notably, July 2026 recorded export turnover of approximately USD 6.67 billion, up 11.9% year-on-year. The sector also recorded a trade surplus of approximately USD 11.67 billion after the first 7 months.
Key export product groups:
🥭 Fruits and vegetables: USD 4.83 billion, up 24.9%
🦐 Seafood: USD 6.85 billion, up 12.7%
🌶️ Pepper: USD 1.09 billion, up 10.6%
🪵 Wood and wood products: USD 10.2 billion, up 5.5%
🥜 Cashew nuts: USD 2.91 billion, up 3.7%
🎯 China, the United States and Japan continued to be the three largest export markets, accounting for 21.9%, 19% and 6.8% of total export turnover, respectively.
Notably, exports to China increased by 24.4%, while exports to the United States decreased by 1.6%. This trend highlights the growing importance of market diversification for Vietnamese agricultural businesses.
🎯 THE NEXT TARGET: USD 74 BILLION
To achieve the export target of USD 74 billion in 2026, the agricultural sector is focusing on solutions such as:
✔ Expanding and diversifying export markets.
✔ Promoting deep processing and increasing added value.
✔ Standardizing growing areas, farming areas and packing facilities.
✔ Strengthening the traceability system.
✔ Meeting increasingly stringent standards for food safety, green development and emission reduction.
✔ Enhancing logistics capabilities and strengthening value-chain linkages from raw material areas to international markets.
🚢 LOGISTICS – A KEY LINK IN INCREASING THE VALUE OF VIETNAMESE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
As international markets impose increasingly stringent requirements on quality, traceability and delivery times, logistics is no longer simply a matter of transportation.
For agricultural products, seafood and other perishable goods in particular, optimizing warehousing, transportation, customs procedures, cold-chain logistics and delivery time can directly affect product quality and competitiveness in international markets.
