\ud83c\udf0a When people think of the floating season in the Mekong Delta, they often picture flooded fields, roads submerged beneath the water, and the lives of local people changing with each season. Yet it is also during this floating season that a particular type of rice has adapted to nature in a very special way \u2014 Floating Rice.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf3e Unlike farming methods that seek to control and limit the impact of water, Floating Rice is cultivated in harmony with the flood season. As the water begins to rise, the rice plants also grow taller with the rising water level, allowing them to continue developing. Farmers do not try to fight against nature, but instead choose to adapt to it, allowing the flow of water to become part of the rice plant\u2019s natural life cycle.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc9a This is also what gives meaning to the concept of \u201cliving in harmony with nature.\u201d It is not always about changing nature to serve production. Sometimes, it is about understanding nature and choosing farming methods that are suited to it, creating a more sustainable value.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf3e Perhaps the uniqueness of Floating Rice begins there: the rice grows with the rising waters, while farmers grow together with the land. Amid nature\u2019s constant changes, they have found a way of farming that allows them to coexist with nature and create rice that carries the distinctive character of the Mekong Delta.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf3e From rice nurtured by the floating season, a new journey is now continuing \u2014 bringing the value of this land closer to modern life.<\/p>\n
