\ud83d\udcca\u00a0Prime Minister Ph\u1ea1m Minh Ch\u00ednh chaired the conference \u201cBusinesses Contributing to Double-Digit Growth and the Prime Minister\u2019s Appreciation for Enterprises\u201d at the Government Headquarters on the morning of March 27.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcca According to the Ministry of Finance, by the end of 2025 Vietnam had more than 1 million active businesses, an increase of over 25% compared to 2020.<\/p>\n
The business sector currently:
\n\ud83d\udd39 Contributes around 60% of GDP
\n\ud83d\udd39 Creates jobs for more than 16 million workers
\n\ud83d\udd39 Serves as a key force in the country\u2019s total import\u2013export turnover<\/p>\n
The three business sectors \u2014 state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, and FDI enterprises \u2014 are increasingly interconnected, creating momentum for rapid and sustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcc8 In 2025, nearly 298,000 businesses were newly established or resumed operations. From May 2025, the average reached 18,000 new businesses per month, up 38% compared to the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcc8 During the period 2021\u20132025:
\n\ud83d\udd39 Total social investment reached about 33% of GDP
\n\ud83d\udd39 The stock market reached 86.7% of GDP
\n\ud83d\udd39 The bond market reached 30% of GDP
\n\ud83d\udd39 564 large-scale projects were launched with a total investment of VND 5.2 quadrillion, of which the private sector accounted for nearly 75%<\/p>\n
\ud83d\udcc8 The Government has set a target of economic growth of 10% or higher, guided by the principle:<\/p>\n
\u201cGovernment as an enabler \u2013 Businesses as pioneers \u2013 Public\u2013private partnership \u2013 National development \u2013 People\u2019s prosperity.\u201d<\/p>\n
Accordingly:
\n\ud83d\udd39 The Government will continue institutional reforms, reduce administrative procedures, develop infrastructure, and support businesses.
\n\ud83d\udd39 Businesses play a central and pioneering role in innovation, digital transformation, green transition, and expanding international markets.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister emphasized:
\n\ud83d\udc49 When businesses thrive, the nation prospers.
\n\ud83d\udc49 The Government always listens, accompanies, and expresses appreciation to the business community for their significant contributions to the economy.<\/p>\n
