VIETNAM’S TOTAL IMPORT–EXPORT TURNOVER IN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2026 REACHED USD 155.73 BILLION

📈 Vietnam’s Trade Reaches USD 155.73 Billion in the First Two Months of 2026, Up 22.3% YoY

According to the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s total import–export turnover in the first two months of 2026 reached USD 155.73 billion, marking a 22.3% increase year-on-year.

📦 Export–Import Overview

  • Xuất khẩu: USD 76.39 billion ⬆️ +18.3%

  • Nhập khẩu: USD 79.34 billion ⬆️ +26.3%

  • Trade balance: Trade deficit of approximately USD 2.95 billion

In February 2026 alone, total turnover reached USD 67.19 billion, slightly down from January due to post-Tet seasonal factors. 📉

🏭 FDI Sector Continues to Drive Trade Growth

Foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) accounted for a significant share:

  • Total turnover: USD 117.1 billion

  • Xuất khẩu: USD 60.23 billion

  • Nhập khẩu: USD 56.87 billion

📊 The sector recorded a 35.9% growth rate, highlighting its critical role in Vietnam’s supply chains and export performance.

💰 State Budget Revenue from Import–Export Activities

  • February 2026: VND 28,696 billion

  • Accumulated (2 months): VND 70,085 billion
    ⬆️ Up 12.3% compared to the same period in 2025

📌 Despite the trade deficit, the over 22% growth in total trade turnover indicates a strong recovery in Vietnam’s import–export activities from the very beginning of 2026.
