The People’s Committee of Vinh Dai Commune, Tan Hung District, Long An Province, in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Vietnam, organized a signing ceremony for the contract on the production and consumption of floating season rice for 2024.
Accordingly, the purchasing unit and the Floating Rice Service Cooperative of Vinh Dai Commune agreed to sign a contract for the production and consumption of floating rice. Specifically, the Floating Rice Service Cooperative of Vinh Dai Commune is responsible for producing 50 hectares of floating rice, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides; Khai Nam Development Investment Co., Ltd. will purchase the entire area.
It is known that this is the fifth consecutive year that the Floating Rice Service Cooperative of Vinh Dai Commune has produced floating season rice. In 2024, 50 hectares will be produced, and the rice is currently 40 days old and developing well.
